Jane-the-Photographer

Here I am, still in America but on the homeward stretch of our trip.  I’m happy to report that my holiday snaps are not of scenery and monuments but are instead copies of Ragdoll breed history documents – 1500+ so far, with one more Ragdoll history stop to go.

But on to what’s happening in the club at home.

Committee News

- General:
The committee discussed the suggestion from Janice Davey, EC Show Portfolio Manager, that the Palmerston North Cat Club might like to host a National show in 2014.  The committee decided to approach the EC with an expression of interest and asking what the EC contribution would be if this was to proceed.

The committee also decided to explore what grants may be available to assist the Club to purchase a new laptop computer and possibly also a printer to replace those currently being used.

- Show Business - March:
The Feilding venue was confirmed.

All judges have been finalised.

There has been an excellent response from Feilding businesses to our request for sponsorship of ribbons.

- Show Business - May:
All pedigree Judges and most domestic/companion judges have been finalised.

Pro Plan sponsorship at a similar level to 2012 confirmed and we are awaiting a contract for this.

Sponsorship for some rosettes confirmed.  Any offers from members for sponsorship gratefully received for both shows!

Next Meeting: Tuesday, 13 November 2012
-- Time: 7.30pm
-- Location: Leisure Centre, Ferguson Street, P Nth

End of Year Awards - Reminder to the ‘Helpers’

The Palmerston North Cat Club’s end-of-year awards seek to recognise the ‘helpers’, making sure those who work at shows are acknowledged just as cats, owners, and breeders are.

To do this we need people to tell us which shows they have worked at during the year so we can collate the information and give credit where it's due.  Please don’t be modest – let Christine know what help you’ve been giving clubs around the country this year.
