Annual General Meeting

The club AGM will be held on 15th February 2015 at 4.30pm at the Leisure Centre in Ferguson Street.  After the meeting we will be heading off for our usual social gathering over dinner at the Rose & Crown in Terrace End.

A reminder that subs for the club are due on 1st January 2015.  After 1st February 2015 members who have not paid their subs will be removed from the list of financial members.

Single $15.00 / Double $25.00 / Triple $35.00

- Associate Membership
Single $15.00 / Double $25.00 / Junior $5.00

- Family Membership
Mixed membership (full for adults, associate for juniors) $25

Please make cheques payable to ‘Palmerston North Cat Club Inc’.

The club account number for online payment is 02-0630-0172405-000.  It is important to include a reference when making your payment (your surname at the very least) and to follow it up with an email to the club secretary.

Privacy - Reminder

As a club affiliated with the NZCF we may send our membership list to the EC Secretary so that she can confirm the people renewing or applying for prefixes are financial members of an affiliated club.  It is important that our club members are aware that this is part of renewing their membership with the Palmerston North Cat Club Inc.

- 2015 Show
The 2015 show page on the website has been made.

All judges have been confirmed and are:

Contact will be made with the major sponsor and work is to begin on obtaining rosette sponsorship.

New Newsletter Banner?

You might have noticed that I've used a new 'Palmerston North Cat Club Inc' banner to head up the newsletter.  It's the same one we use in the thank you cards we have printed.  Like it? Loathe it?  Being driven crazy by the fact that our cat logo has to be off-centre? (This is me!)  Comments welcome.

How Much?

- Raffles (on Show Day)
This year we seemed to have an easier time selling raffle tickets, no doubt thanks to the great donations we raffled and the keen crew on 'the door' who did most of the work.  At the 2014 show raffles earned $396.80 (compared with $247.00 at the 2013 show).

Rosette Sponsorship

Rosettes really make the show something colourful and special, and having plenty of rosettes is something Palmerston North shows have become known for.

Would you like to sponsor rosettes for the club’s 61st All Breeds show?  Choose your colours, have a cattery name, your family name, or the name of a special cat printed on the tail or in the centre.  We have a number of sponsorship packages for various prices.

Please contact the club secretary if you're interested in sponsoring Top Ten or Breeders Awards of Merit rosettes for the 2015 show.

Show Results

Auckland Cat Club Longhair / Burmese Cat Club of NZ Northern Region shows on 28th September:

Gold Db Gr Ch Jaymlynkatz Galileo was awarded 4 x Best in Show, 1 x Breeders' Award of Merit, and was Supreme Best in Show.

Bronze Db Gr Ch Jaymlynkatz Oberon was placed Runner Up Best in Show, 8th, 9th, 10th, and earned a Breeders' Award of Merit.

Pedigree Persian Cat Fanciers Show, Trentham, 1st November:

Bronze Db Gr Ch Jaymlynkatz Oberon was awarded 4x Best in Show, 2x Runner Up Best in Show, and 2 x Breeders' Awards of Merit.
