Membership
We really appreciate most of our members who have now paid their subs. For those still needing to pay theirs this is a reminder that after 1st February 2015 those who have not paid will be removed from the list of financial members. This may affect your ability to hold a prefix with the NZCF.

Privacy - Reminder
As a club affiliated with the NZCF we may send our membership list to the EC Secretary so that she can confirm the people renewing or applying for prefixes are financial members of an affiliated club. It is important that our club members are aware that this is part of renewing their membership with the Palmerston North Cat Club Inc.

Committee Meeting – 13th October 2015

2016 National Show
Preparations for putting on the best National Show are well underway! The Committee are working hard on all aspects, from fundraising and marketing, through to total exhibitor experience, so the meeting had a strong focus on this once again.
- Show Schedule and Entry Forms
Are awaiting EC approval and then will be out in December so people have plenty of time to plan and save for travel, accommodation etc.
- Stalls
We are keen to have a variety of stalls at the show so please spread the word. If people are interested in registering interest or knowing more, please contact:

- Fundraising
Fundraising - a number of exciting fundraising projects were discussed, we're thinking outside the box! We will be announcing our projects in our newsletter and our Facebook Page, so please keep an eye out for them.
- - Raffle
Committee members were given books of raffle tickets to sell, the tickets are $5 each and the prizes are some very welcome cash prizes at this time of year. First prize is $300, second prize is $150 and third prize is $50, limited to 300 tickets! Please support your Club and buy one, or several, today. Contact a committee member if you would like to purchase, payment can be made by internet banking to the club account, 02-0630-0172405-00 just please include your name and "raffle" in the reference, or in person when you pick up your tickets. The raffle will be drawn on 6 December 2015 by a member of Police or the Member of Parliament.
- - Calendars/Cards
These make wonderful Christmas presents and have been selling really well, the committee resolved to purchase some more prior to Christmas so please let us know if you would like one.

NZCF Annual Award Winners
Congratulations to all the NZCF Annual Award winning cats, their owners, and their breeders.
I intend featuring the Palmerston North Cat Club members' successes for the 2015 year in the December newsletter and I would love to include photos of as many of our award winners as I receive. After all, who doesn't find the newsletter more interesting when the front page includes a cat photo?

History Notes – 1952
Recently passed to the historian was the original minute book of the New Zealand Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (NZGCCF) and here, in the minutes of the October 1952 meeting of the NZGCCF, we can see the Palmerston North Cat Club application for affiliate membership getting approved. Something to add to the club history!
