Jane-the-Hopeful

I’m a bit of a history buff when it comes to Cat Fancy stuff, and though I have a big pile of old magazines that I’m working my way through I can always find room for more. Recycling old cat magazines and papers into the wheelie bin provided for that purpose is a noble thing, I’m sure, but sending them to a good home is much better.

Committee News

General:

The plans for the club presence at the Animates Pet Days (17th and 18th March) were reviewed. Committee members will run a barbecue as a fund-raiser.

The committee will investigate buying a relocatable storage shed to hold all of the club’s prizes, paperwork, and miscellaneous items which are currently scattered around (or overwhelming) the homes of committee members.

In future committee meetings will be held in a fixed location, probably one of the smaller rooms in the Leisure Centre in Ferguson Street.

Show Business:

Some of our overseas judges are travelling from Auckland by train. (What a neat way of seeing the country.)

Some 2013 judging contracts have been signed and returned!

Show catering and dinner venue (Nosh) were decided upon.

Arrangements to ferry judges to and from transport, motels, and meals were made.

Next Meeting: Tuesday, 10 April 2012
-- Time: 7.30pm
-- Location: Leisure Centre, Ferguson Street, P Nth

Postal Voting:

Those completing postal votes are reminded that they close on 4th April. (That’s less than two weeks away.)

There was a printing error on the blue (constitutional remits) postal voting form which should have been printed on both sides. An email has been sent to members with the second page attached but if you have not received this you should contact the NZCF Secretary.
