Jane and the Shorthair Entries
What an education it has been, being the Shorthair Entry Clerk for the upcoming show. My eyes crossed as I attempted to come to grips with the NZCF’s documents (the Schedule of Breed Codes, Registration Rules, and the many Standards); steam poured out of my ears as my brain tried to make sense of a whole new language of colour codes (that sometimes made sense and sometimes ... didn’t). And then the second entry arrived! :o)
I couldn’t have managed it without the ever-available guidance of show secretary Christine Yeung and the helpful and informative exhibitors who answered my many questions. Despite everything I’ve enjoyed learning about the ‘SH’ crowd and am looking forward to meeting each and every cat who has entered so that I can see all those troublesome breed / colour / pattern codes ‘in person’. And say hello to the exhibitors as well!
See you on the 6th.
